College Bound Pilot Program

On 8 December 2018, 30 student-athletes from 10th through 12th grades were given the opportunity to participate in the health and fitness component of our College Bound Athlete Program. The program ran through 23 February 2019.  This 12-week program challenged participants both mentally and physically, and introduced students to proper nutrition and exercise techniques, pushing them to new physical levels. Ultimately, these student-athletes were prepared to perform at optimum levels in both the classroom and their sport.

Training sessions took place on the 2nd and 4th Saturday of each month.  Students were able to register for one of our two available training groups. Both sessions focused on strength and conditioning and speed and agility, in addition to providing a monthly nutrition consultation. The intent of this pilot program was to start to introduce these student-athletes to properly fueling and better understanding their bodies through the teaching of proper techniques.

Texas College Visit Program:  From 21 June 2020 to 27 June 2020, 46 student-athletes from 10th through 12th grades will be given the opportunity to participate in the college visit component of our College Bound Athlete Program. Student Athletes will travel from El Paso, TX to Houston, San Antonio, and Dallas, TX.  Students will take academic visits to colleges around the state of Texas.  This will allow student athletes to make more informed decisions about colleges at the different playing levels:  NCAA DI, DII, DIII, and NAIA.


Students will travel by bus and will conduct college tours in the above cities.  Additionally, students will be staying in the local hotels and be allowed to experience the local communities to better help them make a decision on colleges to attend.


Registration for this event will open in October of 2019 and will be on a first come basis.  Payments for the college visits will begin in November 2019 with the final payment will be made on 1 June 2020.


SAT / ACT Prep Program:

     - Will focus on the 6 June 2020 SAT test date.  Registration for this program will open 1 October and will be on a first come basis.  This online program will be provided through our partnership with eKnowledge.com.  

     - Will focus on the 18 July 2020 ACT test date.  Registration for this program will open 1 October and will be on a first come basis.  This online program will be provided through our partnership with eKnowledge.com.

Military Family -- Iron Sharpens Iron Program

THE REAL TRUTH ABOUT MILITARY FAMILY INITIATIVES

The P2C Athlete Prep in collaboration with Pathway 2 College Prep and Promotional Services is providing FREE College Marketing and Promotional Advice to all military families in The State Of Texas during the months of September & October 2019. This advice is exclusively about how to use your Military Scholarship Initiatives with your sports athletics to get to college. The advice will be on:

* What is a full ride and what colleges are giving them?

* How to get a preferred walk on using your military initiatives?

* How to use the Post Graduate Program using your military initiatives to get into the Post Graduate Program (unsigned senior)

*Which Military initiatives you are entitled to by law?


Military Parents and Players are in category of their own when it comes to getting to college on athletics and academics. But you MUST start early to understand what you are able to use.

Upcoming Pilot program for El Paso and San Antonio, TX student athlete's in grades 10 and 11.

El Paso, TX and San Antonio, TX we are pleased to announce that our partners Outsource Sports Training and Evaluations and EBH Fitness LLC will sponsor our initial classes in these two cities.  As such, Outsource Sports Training and Evaluations will sponsor 25 students for the San Antonio, TX area and EBH Fitness LLC will will sponsor 25 students in El Paso, TX. These two companies will sponsor 50 student athletes for the P2C Athlete Prep College Bound Program.  


Student athletes need to be a current Sophomore or Junior with a minimum GPA of 3.0. The student athlete must be a varsity athlete.


Student athletes will receive the following if selected for this program:

* Sophomores -- Rising Stars Mentorship Program

* Juniors -- College Bound Athlete Mentorship Program

- Participate live or on-demand from website

* Student Athlete College Preparation

- Assistance with the college lists

- NCAA and NAIA course work compliance

* Online College Marketing and Promotions

- Ability to promote multiple sports or levels

Submissions for the program will be as such:

- Recommendations must come from either their high school or club/travel team coach

- Recommendations must include:

1) link to a full game video for assessment.

2) a copy of the student athlete's transcript

3) if taken, SAT / ACT test scores


Recommendations should be emailed to showard@p2cathleteprep.com. The window for nominations is now and will be open until 1 March 2020 with the first mentorship session beginning 21 March 2020.
